Boys, boys, boys…

Girls are always so wrapped up in what guys think of them. Am I pretty enough? Does he like my hair curled or straightened? Do I look good in this shirt? This list goes on… I personally do not see the point in fretting about appearance. Especially not for boys. I have more important things to do than to worry with whether or not every strand of my hair is in its proper place. Who cares? No one. Society has everyone trying to perfect their appearance when the REAL aspect of a person that matters is how they act. I don’t just mean behavior. I’m talking about personality, conversation skills, charisma, and being able to connect on an emotional and spiritual level. I don’t want to waste the life God gave me on silly things like whether or not my shirt accentuates my features as well as some celebrity. Yes, it does feel good to dress up and look nice, but if you dress up every day, the excitement of that good feeling tends to fade rather quickly. If people, specifically girls, put forth that much effort into their education, the world would be a much happier place to live in.
